2004 Isuzu Rodeo Question Check Engine Light

I have a 2004 Isuzu rodeo with 56,091 miles on it and the check engine light came on today while I was driving. Any ideas what this could be?

I have a 2001 rodeo and any time I buy fuel, if the cap is not put back on tight, at least 3 clicks, the check engine light comes on. If I open the cap and retighten it the light goes off, sometimes right away, sometimes a day or so.
