My Isuzu started squealling really loud, and sounds like it may be from the back of the engine. I took the serpentine belt off and started it, but the squeal was still there. It gets better when you accelterate, but never really goes away. I have tried hard to isolate the area it was coming from, but didn't have any luck. Any suggestions?

I too have been having this problem with my 94 isuzu rodeo. It is the exact same problem that you said. I was wondering if you found out what the problem was. I would very much like to know. Or let me know if it just stopped on it's own. Thanks

I haven't found it yet, though now I susjpect it is a pinhole in the intake manifold gasket. I have replaced the timing belt, timing belt idler pulleys and water pump, as well as having a cracked exhaust manifold repaired. I don't know what engine you have, but there are some differences between your engine and mine. i will update this reply when I do find the problem.
