Had previous problems with battery and alternator - replaced both. Alternator still not charging and now my instrument panel is now dead.

Is the replacement alternator new , used or rebuilt?
Did you check the wiring circuits and fuses?

i no they have some wires under fuse box have needed to be repaired depends if the alt was over charging or not i have one of these fine money pits
