2001 Isuzu Rodeo Question gas gauge misreading

Hello, My issue is, my gas gauge is missreading. So, now when I start my car it comes on but then dies after five seconds. Making a sound as if it is running out of gas, but gas is in ther. Is there a gas gauge fuse I can replace to fix this issue. Is ther anything I can do, to repair it myself.

Is the gauge the problem or the engine not running?
