Hi Moe24,
Thank you for the donation.
Here is a description of the problem. It could be a fault with the TCM or its wiring circuit.
DTC 37: TORQUE MANAGEMENT SERIAL LINE FAULTY
Description
Torque management uses TCM to deliver a spark advance signal to Engine Control Module (ECM) during transmission shifting. This controls engine torque and reduces engagement shock caused by changing of vehicle speed. Each time transmission shifts with torque management active, TCM delivers a signal to the ECM.
Diagnostic Aids
This diagnostic test is not an electrical test performed by the TCM, but a comparison of signal input. DTC 37 will set when a torque management failure is present, or ECM does not acknowledge signal from TCM when transmission shifts with torque management active. Once DTC 37 is set, CHECK TRANS light will flash and transmission will go into back-up mode. Back-up mode may be cleared by turning ignition off, then back on again.
