Hey man, I replaced the clutch in my 95 Rodeo when I first got it and found that it is different from any other clutch Ive ever seen!
With a traditional clutch asembly the ribs on the preasure plate face outward and are depressed by the throw out bearing relesing the preasure plate from the clutch.
In a 95 the ribs of the preasure plate face inward, the throw out bearing is instaled into it with a steel retainer clip and becomes part of the preasure plate. The clutch rod is in the shape of a fork that fits into upper and lower attachment points on the throw out bearing and when the clutch is engaged it pulls the preasure plate outward to release it from the clutch.
This was the hardest part of the whole job, you have to get it lined up while the engine is still loose from the transmission and then use the mounting bolts to bring them together and the clutch fork will snap into place once you get the engine close enough to the transmission, maybe you didnt get it lined up correctly and the throw out bearing isnt connected to the shaft preventing it from disengaging the clutch. All this, if yours is the same as mine. Just a thought!
