I have a 1997 Isuzu rodeo,v6,24 valves,3.2 engine.
my plroblems is that always has a very hard noise, i think that there are the valves or the lifters. I try by doing an oil change but it was the same, the sound doesn´t change, and a mechanic says it wasn´t the lifters becuase he change them to a 1998 honda passport and the sound doesn´t go away.
Please what can I do?
Thanks.

It might not be lifters. It could be a similar sound, knocking or pinging. This could happen at all engine speeds if your EGR Valve is faulty. It's right on top of the motor, close to the fire wall. Only two bolts hold it on, so it should be an easy change. I hope this helps.
