Howdy folks, Stu here! I'm a newbie to the forums but have noticed there seems to be a lot of knowledge here! Anyhow my question is on my wifes 1995 1/2 Rodeo 3.2 sohc v6. The hormonic balancer is shot on it so I've got it all torn down (radiator and ect) to the balancer/pully assembly but cant get the crank bolt broke loose with my 1/2" ratchet! I understand it to be torqued at 123 lbs so I know it's tight but I wnat to make sure it isnt some backward thread type thing before I put my impact gun on it! Thanx for any help and info, Stu

Yo Redneck! (Lol)
"gun " away bro!

Chris

P.S. Ya got nothin' to worry about and re-torque to spec when you are done! And a 'lil bit of thread locker won't hurt either!

Dont get discouraged if your gun isnt strong enough to remove the bolt. Seen the bolts lock themselves in enough to require a little heat on the bolt to get it loose. Just something to keep in mind

Thanx again yall! Busted one impact socket but got it off! I think gettin the balancer off the crank was the hardest part, the bolt on my puller wasnt long enough so I had to make a tool and finally got it off! Again thanx for the help yall! 8)

So, how did you get that nut off of that Rodeo crankpulley? Was it reversed threads or not? I am in the same situation questioning wether it comes off to the right /clockwise or to the left/ counter. Which is it? If you could please let me know cause, the manual don't say jack!
