1996 Other Isuzu Models cooling fan relay

1996 Other Isuzu Models 6 cyl Automatic 200000 miles

A mechanic took out what i was told was the cooling fan relay. He ran a cord form under the hood to fuse box on iside. This is suppose to keep the car from running hot. it is a square fat black piece that came form the box under the hood. I can not find the part. can you help me please

sounds like he has wired up the fan to run all the time !! any autoparts store will supply the relay ... If that was the fault he could have just replaced it ... I suspect there is another fault !!
