Issue with washer setup for brake line connector to caliper?

I'm changing both front calipers on this car and the new calipers are just different than the original. Where the brake line attaches to the caliper is where the issue is. I took the lines off and there was 1 copper washer with grooves like a record and the caliper has grooves. The new calipers came with 2 copper washers each 1 regular and one grooved. I tried bolt-smooth washer-brake line-grooved washer-caliper. All was good until I went to bleed the brakes then squirt out shoots brake fluid. Before I try testing every possible combination can anyone tell me the proper order and/or what washers are necessary? Thanks

I can add pics if needed, just let me know.

Hi,

You should have a washer on each side of the banjo fitting. Is that how you are doing it?

I attached two pics. Pic 1 shows the locations of the copper washers. Pic 2 indicates the torque specifications, 22 ft/lbs. You may not be getting them tight enough.

Let me know if this helps.

Joe

Hi,

I'm glad to know that has been taken care of. Now, off to the next. I would be more than happy to help you with the Impala, but I have a favor to ask. We try to keep the threads specific to one topic so that it is more helpful to others. Is it possible for you to copy and paste your new question to a new post?

Here is the link to start a new one:

I hope you understand.
