This problem has started in last two days. all of a sudden while driving when i try to accelerate the pedal goes down but there is no power. when i look at the meter reading at the center all the digits show --------- that it, but engine runs at low RPM, and vehicle slowly stops, with engine still running. if i switch off the engine and switch on, if i can see the figures on the odometer and start the vehicle it starts and runs normal until the time the same repeat again.

Hi Moses,

I assume there will be some codes in the system. Do you have the ability to pull them yourself or have them checked? The reason is, you have an electronic throttle body and when it detects an issue with it, you basically lose the ability to accelerate and the vehicle will come to a stop and be fine when you cycle the key until it sees the issue happen again.

It could be the throttle body itself, or it could be a sensor or the PCM. Either way, the DTCs will point us in the correct direction.

Thanks
