The car listed above is a Titanium Sedan.

https://streamable.com/izzfjt - Video.

So, this was recorded after apparently one of the "A/C Hose", had a leak/crack whatever, (the girls A/C wasn't working).

Now it's working again after the new hose, but we have been wondering what this sound might be?...

The shop that changed the A/C Hose stated that the "A/C Compressor" and some other hose (don't have the paperwork, she has it).

I've never been to that shop before, and it was like a quick needed fix for her because it's starting to become hot.

But anyway, what do you think this sound could be?

Thank you.

If you had it in for that ticking noise, then it is clearly not fixed. That does not sound normal. Most all engines tick as the lifters/valve train and injectors all have a clicking/ticking to them but that is loud.

That sound is rhythmic so I doubt that it is A/C related so a cracked hose would not make that noise.

Does the noise get faster or change when you rev the engine?

I would remove the engine cover that I am pointing to and just make sure that it is coming from the area with a square around it.

It doesn't sound like it is coming from the other side, which tells us it could be just one cylinder, so let's start with this and go from there.

See below for the details on this and let me know. Thanks

No, that was not the reason for taking the car to the shop; a few days ago, I told her that the AC didn't feel right, and a few days later, the A/C wouldn't get cold. So, she took it to some shop who stated that it was the "AC Hose" needing replacement.

The shop just told us about the noise, even though we already knew anyway, even my dad stated something about it before, but now he says it's normal. (But I don't think so)

It could be normal but I agree that this sounds pretty loud so I would not be convinced yet.

Can you raise the RPM and listen for the noise to see if it gets faster and louder? That will tell us if this is related to engine speed or not. Let's start with this and that will tell us what direction to go.

Sorry for the confusion. It was posting it but the site blocks posts with links because it assumes that it is spam, so I had to approve it.

However, that is exactly what we needed. The clicking that you are hearing at idle is 100% normal. That is the injectors clicking as they are loud on this engine. However, you can hear that the clicking does not get louder or faster when you bring the RPMs up.

When you did bring the RPMs up and you heard that little rattle that is most likely the intake manifold or detonation.

More than likely that noise is not there when the engine is in gear but the noise at idle is just fine.
