Battery dummy light comes on and when I check the voltage while running I get a barely 12.5 while sitting. While running is 12.8. Now the parts stores are telling me that this van has a voltage regulator that is off location. They are telling me it is part of the PCM MOD. Which I am sure it probably is? But my basic question pertains to the cross references with this vehicle or can I get the components to fix or replace the regulator?

Never believe those clerks at auto parts stores, the voltage regulator is internal to alternator. Check fusible link going to alternator. Or pull alternator off and have the auto parts test it if it is good and fusible link is good off or starter or getting battery voltage at large wire on alternator. Then have a mechanic scan for codes because it may be a CAN/BUS problem.
