Is it possible that camshaft position sensor and crankshaft sensor to go bad at the same time ?

I have codes p0342 and p0335 , p2101 , p0151 ,p0131 I am just wondering if my ECU could be bad and how to check with a multimeter and basic tools? Please help. Thank you very much. Steve Beck

Hi Steve,

It is pretty remote that the crankshaft and camshaft sensor will go out at the same time. You can check the sensor by probing the sensor terminals and then cranking the engine over, see the voltmeter to millivolts, test the sensor unplugged. This guide can help:

If the sensors check out here is how to swap out the ECU in the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens. It looks like the ECU is plug and play no programming required.
