My reverse lights stay on while driving. What do I do? They only cut off when I turn the truck off.

I love my 79 terra. If the lights stay on, the switch is on the tranny. You can unplug it and the light will go off. The switch connects the power and ground side to make the lights work. Replace or do without the backup lights. Good luck. You have a bullet proof truck except for the weak body. I have plowed snow for 15 years and the original clutch lasted for 25 years. Alas, the body died long before the rest of the drivetrain.
