1975 International Scout V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to know how to set the timing marks on crank and cam gears when installing a new cam shaft for a 392 V8

line them up dot to dot, small crank to cam. Bring it up to TDC and as long as the lifters are all the way down on number 1 you should be ok.
