My truck, who I call Buck (Brown-Truck), vibrates when I reach 1,000-1,500 RPM's. The vibration can be heard and felt. It occurs when the accelerator pedal is pressed. If the acceleration is rapid, no vibration is felt. If is slow/moderate, then I experience intermittent vibration. It does not matter the speed or the gear. It is independent of 2WD or 4WD. Every once in a while, I will also feel a loud and hard bump/or knock when slowing down (such as when entering a parking lot). I am thinking it might be the u-joints except it is not a constant vibration.

This has been occurring since April 2019.Since then, I have had the following work done:
1. Replaced water pump, turbo, torque converter assembly, heater hose, upper and lower radiator hose, serpentine belts, spark plugs, brake vacuum pump, remove and replace radiator, thermostat,
2. Reprogrammed power-train control module.
3. Serviced: coolant, fuel injector.
4. New tires.

What do you think?

It sounds like a bad u-joint, but if it is specific to RPM and not speed, that doesn't seem like the issue. Is there anything you can do to produce it other than the engine speed? Have you checked motor mounts?

Take a look through this link and see if it helps. Let me know.

Joe,

Thanks for the response. Today, I took the truck into the dealer to inspect both the motor mounts and the u-joints. They saw no issues. The parts all looked good.

I followed the link you provided. None of those describe my situation. There is nothing I can do consistently to reproduce it. I am planning to ride with the shop foreman for $140.00 on Tuesday.

Let me know what he says.
