Turn signals stop working. No click sound. No inside or outside flashing. When I turn on hazards, they work again. Replaced hazard switch. Now both turn signals have a rapid blink. Any thoughts on why?

Hi,

A rapid flash is an indication there is a bulb burned out. Have you confirmed they are all good? Also, now that you have replaced the hazard switch, do the exterior lights flash fast?

Let me know. Also, keep in mind there may be more than one bulb at a light assembly. Make sure they are all working.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

So, the interior lights rapid blink as well as the exterior. All turn signal bulbs are fine. There is a backup bulb that is out. What is crazy, is that when I put the old Hazard switch back in the car, the turn signals do not rapid flash.

Hi,

That is odd. By chance, did you get a switch that is for an LED system? Are there any LED bulbs being used?

Also, do the turn signals work at all with the new switch?

Let me know.

There is only one Hazard switch available for this car model, at least that I know of. No LED bulbs being used. Turn signals work with the new switch, just blink rapidly. I chose to put the old switch back in since I was worried about the fast blinking. With the old switch the blinkers work normally, except they stop working intermediately. It's very confusing. Is there a short in the wiring somewhere?

Hi,

It sounds like the new switch may be an issue. Try returning it and seeing if another one does the same thing.

Let me know.
