Engine not cranking

Vehicle will not start occasionally. Only way it will start is if placed in neutral. Is this common in Journeys? Any help would be great. Heard neutral safety switch is the issue, but I am not 100% sure.

Hello,

Yes, it does sound like the gear range sensor has gone out. Here is the sensors location so you can change it out to fix the starter issue.

Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
