Scan and see if you can come up with a security system problem then check fuses under hood with a test light. Is there a misfire or any codes?

Original post' the engine will start and run as long as the number one spark plug is out of the engine.

I know what the question was re read my first reply check fuel pressure with a gauge should be 60-66 psi if lower will not run/start. see link.

Also, check distributor cap for cracks. if you take out number it may be cracked at that position and letting it run.

What does it do with #1 installed? Not turn over? Turns over but kicks back? Are you getting anything out of #1 with the plug out, like water or a lot of fuel?
Run a comparative compression test and see if your getting the same pressures in all cylinders.
