I have the vehicle described. I currently know the hybrid battery pack needs to be replaced so the check engine light is on because of this and this is the code listed when I have the code reader connected. The IMA light is also on and this is due to the hybrid battery as well.

What I am having an issue with is the gas pedal. Just recently when I stop at a stop light I will push the gas when it turns green and nothing happens(intermittently). If I turn of the car and start it back up it works fine. What could be causing this?

Hello,

It sounds like the car is going into limp mode due to a dirty throttle actuator causing the PCM to loose correlation between the actuator and throttle pedal position sensor. This guide will help you fix the problem:

Please run down this guide and report back.

Throttle body (actuator) cleaned and idle reset performed. Idling at about 800-850 rpm's. Have not seen the issue again yet.

It was dirty. Can't say I can explain how dirty. Lets just say that when I used an old shirt and cleaner it came out black. Thanks, currently working on getting the Hybrid battery replaced under the extended warranty program. Would you know any details on that program and what hoops the manufacturer makes you jump through? We are starting with a diagnostic which I already know it will say the battery is bad because they tested it under the previous owner.

The best way to go on that is to be consistent with the complaint and go to managers if needed. Here are the instructions to help you see what it takes to replace the hybrid battery. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
