Intermittent cruise control malfunction?

Scanned it and found 3 codes then deleted them and one stayed which is this one. Basically, cruise works then randomly says malfunction and steering buttons don't work but horn works.

Hi,

I suspect it is related to the steering column switch cluster. There were issues in the past where the wiring would corrode and cause intermittent issues. That is where I would start checking.

I attached the directions below for removing and replacing the part. The steering wheel will need to be removed to access the switch. The directions are for the replacement. I would check connectors for corrosion or other issues.

Yes. I was able to find some older technical service bulletins on the topic. I attached one below that seems to be specific to what you are experiencing. Take a look through it and let me know. Also, this TSB indicates to replace the part and not to focus on the connectors.
