My timing belt broke and was replaced with a Dayco belt but now the engine is misfiring and have a rough idle. The engine type is 3s-fe. I am wondering if this is due to my battery since they tested the timing with battery disconnected. Please assist.

Best get a comp test done to rule out a bent valve. And make sure that the vale timing is correct.

I was getting mixed info on this engine regarding if it is an interference type engine or not, if it is you may have a bent valve, so the comp test will prove that one way or the other.
