There are 3 different columns and it gets pretty involved the column has ot come out and all switches removed to access it. It's best you get a manual to do this we can't copy all of this and paste it.

From what I understand it should be pretty straightforward I am replacing the white plastic bearing with the green plastic bearing. Everyone says it just pulls out but I was wondering if there are any tricks to doing it? I know I have to take the one bolt out push the shaft towards the firewall and then the plastic burning should call out but I don't want to destroy anything

You can't do it that way you will destroy the clock spring at top of column and then you'll have real problems. You can rent a manual through our site but the shaft has to be pulled out from top then get it from bottom to access. Only way to do it properly.
