I was replacing the CV axle and the ring that goes from the intermediate axle into the CV axle bell housing broke. I have looked everywhere and cannot find one. Where can I find one? Is it actually necessary to have it (I assume so but fingers crossed)?

Yes you do require this clip as it locks the shafts as a unit. a re conditioned shaft company should be able to supply a replacement clip. but you do need the correct one fitted, to bob or small will not work.
