Interior light staying on while car operating

For some reason my interior light is staying on while the car is operating. Try turning it off and nothing happens. The light does eventually turn off when the car is not on. Why might this be happening?

hav eit scanned it could be the module for that is screwed up or a door switch has broken the wire. the battery saver relay is shutting the light off when you close the door.
