Can I interchange just the body of a 1997 Chrysler Intrepid with the body of a 1994 Dodge Intrepid? I own both cars, one is rusted on the body, the other almost spotless, transmission is blown in the Dodge, but the Chrysler runs great.

The 1997 model was the first year for the totally redesigned body. You can see by the contour of the body lines that it's quite different. Even if they were the same, all cars since the mid 1980's, and all Chrysler's since the 1960's are of the "unibody" design. There is no body to unbolt from a steel frame. The body is the frame of the car. You are better off doing a search or visiting the dealer's parts department to see if the transmissions are the same. If they are, swap just the transmission.
