Intake manifold Hole

Hi, when starting my car about thirty minutes after a smooth drive I heard a big bang.I found a hole in my intake manifold just under my throttle. I need to know what causes it.

Hey SPOGGIE,

It sounds like the engine had a backfire which caused to hole. I would replace the spark plugs and change the fuel filter if the car has one, here is a guide that will help as well.
