intake and exhaust manifold

Hi sir, I want to know that does this vehicles have exhaust and intake manifold at the same side because some car has exhaust manifold at one side and intake on the other side of the engine. I have seen video in mechanic told that it has both on same side. waiting for your reply. thanks indeed.

The Jeep 2.5 and the Jeep 4.0 have the intake and exhaust on the same sides. There are engines with both on the same side, others have them on opposite sides. That holds true for V type and horizontal as well. As a general rule on V type engines you will find the intake in the middle of the V and the exhaust out the bottom. But there are some that have that reversed and others that have intake and exhaust in the valley.
