Just got in the car and central dashboard is blank, also gauges are not working for fuel, temperature, speedometer, tachometer. Also no sound for indicators, although they do work. I am hoping it is a fuse, but suspect an engine management unit? Car has been sitting for a couple of days.

Hello,

We must test fuse #28 7.5 amp under the hood is the front sam control. Here is a guide to walk you thought he steps with the fuse location and wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works below:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it did not solve the issue. I didn’t mention that there was a back-light to the main dash, that is on twenty four hours. I put in a new fuse, and nothing. I then replaced the old one and it came on, but as soon as I got the fuse box lid on and shut the bonnet, it had gone off again, it happens a couple of times. So what’s next?

It sounds like the SAM controller or the instrument cluster has gone out. You will need to do a CAN scan to see which one. Whichever one it is will need to be programmed in by a shop which shop cost about $130.00. We are doing a video on this on Saturday and have saved this post which will be updated then so you can see how the job is done.
