Instrument panel light will not turn off?

The lights for the odometer, time and date remain on after car is turned off.

It sounds like the instrument cluster control module is not working correctly which is integrated into the clusters itself, I would get a rebuilt unit by searching google or eBay. Here is how to remove the cluster so you can fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

It's only the odometer, time and date lights that stay on. Only ones that lights up red.

Yep, that is a instrument cluster control module problem, you will need to get a rebuilt cluster.
