The cluster is fully plugged in and still shows flashing lights on the dash and when I drive it doesn’t show my speed or show the gas gauge moving it’s just at empty and 0mph, and the car has a hesitation to start when I crank it.

Can you get a video or picture of what the cluster is doing when the lights are flashing? That is going to help us figure out what may be happening.

Also, can you let us know what happened prior to this happening? Was the vehicle in an accident? A part replaced and then this started.

Next, we need to check to make sure the battery is fully charged. I am not sure if the slow crank or hesitation is related to the cluster issue so let's test the battery and go from there. Here is a guide that will help with this:

If the battery checks out, then we need to scan for codes and find out what we have as I am sure there would be some codes with this issue.

Lastly this could just be an issue with the cluster so we need to go through all this and see if we find anything that points us in a different direction but if not then we can dig into a cluster issue.

All the lights stopped flashing and it took the car a while to start up, and now it’s not showing anything on the cluster. I thought it could possibly be an issue with the alternator.

Okay. I don't want to jump straight to a cluster issue so do you have a parts store around you that can test the battery and alternator for us?

If they pass then we can confidently move on but the taking a while to start has me a little nervous that we could overlook the battery issue.

The battery is brand new, like only 2-months old, so I definitely don’t think it’s the battery.

Has this been happening since before the battery was replaced? I understand and agree that it isn't then battery but if this just started then 2 months is plenty of time for a battery to fail if there is a draw on the vehicle.

However, the next thing after that to check is power on both sides of fuse 5 and 7.

When you showed the dash in the video, was that of the clock? If so, it was not working either?

If that is the case, we need to also check the ground as the cluster and clock share the same ground GVB-5 which is in the right (passenger side) kick panel. I attached a location view of this.
