Instrument cluster bezel

Trying to get to the heater/ac selector switch I need to get the outer bezel off for access. I can find no screws though it does seem to be very ridged at two points. A manual I bought on that years truck says to access two screws through the ashtray port, that port is far below the bottom of the bezel, I see no screws that would be the hold down. So the question is -

how do I get that darm bezel off without breaking it.
