Hi,

Anything that restricts airflow to the engine will cause the engine to run rich simply because there is less opportunity to draw air in. As a result, fuel economy will suffer and performance. Keep in mind, if the engine is constantly running rich, it can cause damage to the catalytic converter.

Is there a reason you want to have two air filters?

Let me know.

Reason for installing two filters is dust and driving conditions. Can't we adjust the fuel ratio in carburetor through mixture screw, to ensure that engine is running neither too rich nor too lean?

Hi,

I guess that would be possible. However, does it have a carburetor or is it fuel injected? I don't show the Vitara for 1992. The only things shown are the Samurai and Sidekick.

That could simply be because of where you are located.

Let me know.

It has carburetor. Branded also as Suzuki Sidekick, but has G16A (non-fuel injected) engine.

Hi,

When I look up a 2002 Sidekick, I get two options, TBI or MFI. See pic 1 below I even went back to a 1990 and it shows TBI.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe
