The driver side door ajar light stays on all the time?

The driver side door ajar light stays on all the time drains battery, install door lock motor actuator.

Hi,

Does the door fully close tight? It could be something as simple as an adjustment issue. If it does, I suspect it is the driver's door switch. See pic below

The switch is located at the B-pillar. That is the part of the body where your left shoulder would touch when seated. To access the switch, you need to remove the B-pillar interior trim.

However, before I jump the gun, I need to know if when the door ajar lamp is on, if the interior courtesy lamps stay on as well. The two should work in conjunction with one another.
