I just want to know if Lockup Solenoid “B” can be replaced without taking out my transmission. I want to do it myself instead of taking it to a dealership and paying an arm and a leg.

Yes, you can there are mounted on the outside of the transmission. Lucky you! Here are the instructions on how to replace the converter clutch lock up solenoids. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Is there a DIY on how to get to it through the engine bay? It appears to be a tight squeeze. What else will I have to remove to access this solenoid?

They don't show that, only the instructions I have included in the first post but if you take images of what the problem is I can help walk you through the repair.
