after replacing the Injectors car now has a cylinder three misfire

just changed out all the injectors on my son's car because number 1 injector was bad. after I was done test drove the car, it was hard to start but after it started it ran like a dream, no misses and plenty of power. Parked the car and 2 hours later my son couldn't get it started. I checked after I got it started and now the number 3 cylinder is misfiring, and it is not the coil. could it have been a bad new injector our was there something I needed to do after installation

It's very possible you got a defective injector, especially since you didn't have an issue with cylinder 3 before the repair. If #3 injector is leaking, it could very likely cause the hard start (fuel pressure bleed down) and the misfire. If you want to confirm it's the injector, the best thing to do is swap it with another cylinder and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder. The other option would be to have the parts store warranty the injector and try a new one.

when you changed the injectors, did you use new or rebuilt injectors?

The reason I ask is there are numbers on the injectors. There are different types and if you put the incorrect ones in, you will have issues.

I attached the parts list from rock auto and they show the numbers that need to be matched from your old injectors.
