I have a 1999 QX4 infiniti and when I turn the key to start the vehicle it does not start up. I have to pump the gas pedal to get the vehicle to start up and sometime I have to do this three, four, five or more times before the vehicle will start up. I had the fuel filter changed and a fuel system cleaning and the problem still exist. What other things could be causing the vehicle not to start up right away and having to pump the gas pedal before it will start?

Could be the coolant temperature sensor not telling the computer to enrich the fuel for cold starts. Also might want to check the fuel pressure to rule out a failing fuel pump.
