Hello

I have notice slight play in the steering for my 1996 J30 RWD ..... I think it is my lower front ball joint. Is this the type of repair I have to take it back to the dealership to repair or could I locate the part and have a reputable ASE tech repair it as well. I love my car and I have fully received the value I paid for it tenfold. At 203k miles I do not see it financially feasible for me to pay high dealership repair cost which can easily exceed the value of the car.

Thank you
