My car makes a loud (you can feel it) clunk when i hit the brakes or when i release them at any speed.
I was wondering if it could be cracked or damaged bushings on the tension rods ( front bushing).
When i visually looked i found tension rod bushings where split almost in two on driver and passenger sides, front bushing. the car also feels really loose when front axle goes over bumps. I,ve just replaced the rear struts and it has new brakes through out.
thx Eddie

Hi there,

i would be replacing these bushes and checking the remainder of the front end and steering for worn components, make sure that you get an alignment after any suspension & steering work has been done.
