Hi, everyone, I'm new here.

I bought a 2001 Infiniti I30 with 97000 km or 60625 miles on it about 2 weeks ago. The car is great in all aspects, aesthetically and performance wise.

However, about 2 days ago, the SES light suddenly came on steady (not blinking) and stayed there. From what I've read on various forums, I have a sense it's got to do with emission or stuff like that, but there can be tonnes of codes for this, so it's still hard to figure out exactly what went wrong.

I followed the tips given in the manual - i.e. tighten the gas filler cap and keep at least 14 litre of gas in tank - but it just doesn't go away after many trips.

I always use premium gas as required, but I don't know if the former owner(s) had been doing the same.

Does anybody have a clue?

Tks.
