leak appears to be in the actuator. How had will this be to replace for someone not mechanically sound?

Hi there,
I would recommend that you get this done by a mechanic, you are dealing with the steering and if you make a mistake or over look something important this could be very dangerous, don't risk it as you say your are inexperienced so get a mechanic to do this job.
