My brake lights were permanently on unless I removed the fuse. I purchased a brake light switch, but can't seem to get the old one out of its bracket. As far as I can tell, there are 2 nuts (one on either side of the bracket). I have one loose, but can't seem to get the other one undone. Any advice on how to get the old brake light switch out of my 98 Infiniti I30?

Just twist the square switch body about 45 degrees counter-clockwise then it will slide out of the bracket. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
