Suspension problem

I have an infiniti G20. When a go over a bump in the road, the rear of the car would bounce and the hit hard when it came back down. I had the struts/shocks replaced and was still having the same problem. I took the car back to atuo shop and they stated that several of the strut/shocks was faulty. They replace them again, but I am still have problems. First, does the rear suspension have struts or shocks? Second, when replacing them should I replace other conponents in the rear suspension? What would be a reliable brand?
