My odometer stopped working. Do I just need to replace the cable or the odometer too?

Hello and thanks for donating
This model of G20 was in between switching from the speedometer cables to the speed sensors. What are the last 6 digits of your VIN so I can confirm which your vehicle uses? Also, does your speedometer still work properly?

Thanks for that information. Your vehicle uses the speed sensor which is attached to the transmission to run the speedometer as well as the odometer. This is most likely what has failed. It only takes around 30 minutes to replace this sensor, so labor fees shouldn't be more than $30 - $50 depending on the shop you go to. The sensor itself costs around $100.
