In tank diesel pump not working. Can I change the in tank diesel pump with an outside inline electric diesel pump?

Hello,

You cannot install an aftermarket pump outside the tank. Here are questions and diagrams on how to change out the fuel pump with a video showing how to drain the tank before you begin:

I need to remove the diesel tank to replace the defective in tank diesel pump. Must I remove the prop-shaft also because this car is a 4wd? Apart from the fuel pump relay is there a fuse also?
