In hot weather the car shuts down to limp mode?

When it is hot outside the car will shut down and barely move over twenty mph. I get a code of p1361. I clear the code, let it cool and start it back up and drive again. Thinking it is the cam shaft sensor, maybe?

A camshaft sensor should not make the engine stall I would do the crankshaft sensor. Here is the location so you can change it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
