Immobilizer, code telling me that my key was not recognized?

I was driving and the car shut down. When I tried to restart, I got the code telling me that my key was not recognized. I tried two spare keys, same message. Do I pay to get my keys reprogrammed, or is this possibly an electrical issue that is going to happen again?

Yep, I have seen the immobilizer control unit go bad and not see the key code frequency. Here is the part you need, they get old and stop working, like me lol. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Yes that was the part I replaced, the first image. If you want to be sure I would do a CAN scan which it should have a code for. Here is a video to help see.

This is a common problem, this is what usually fixes it.
