Hi,
According to the manual, it just needs to be grounded to a known good ground. There isn't any specific place.
If you look at the directions below, they are the steps specific to your vehicle. Take a look through them and let me know if they helps.

No problem. The first two pics show it from two different angles. Pic 3 shows it with CA emissions and pic 4 is federal emissions.
