Ignition switch replaced now locked ignition cylinder?

Why after I replaced the ignition switch, I put key in to try to start and it won't turn at all? If it is locked but the steering wheel is not locked. Please help me.

When you replaced the lock did you use the keys that came with it? You may have a defective ignition lock, here is how to change it out correctly in the images below. Check out the images (below).
